The Process

Iron Forest Wood Company houses a variety hardwood slabs from area sawmills. These include Walnut, Oak, Cherry, Osage Orange, Ash, Elm and Pecan

It takes an artists eye to envision what that raw slab can become.  Laying out the pieces and moving them around until the picture is complete is key to a beautiful table.

Craftsmen create framing for the readied pieces to be placed and laid out ready for the initial pouring of the epoxy resin.

There are hundreds of colors and special effects that can be incorporated into the epoxy resin as it is mixed.  These effects include color additives and even glow powder that gives the table a glow in the dark effect.

Once the resin is hardened there are additional steps in finishing and polishing  the product.  This slow process creates a mirror finish that will last fro years.
